I first met Jessica through her work with Running Start and Women Under Forty PAC, as I began my campaign for Congress in 2012. Her encouragement and support during what was a tough campaign was very helpful. Over the years, I’ve continuously been impressed by her creative ideas, finding new ways to be effective, and especially her passion for mentoring and supporting women of all ages as they seek to serve in public office and in politics. Jessica is someone whose experience spans a broad spectrum, and whose leadership will serve as an asset to any organization.
Jessica Grounds has been a dynamic, innovative, savvy leader in the women’s movement, inspiring young women to engage and run. She understands how gender impacts races and women voters. She is a huge asset to strategic thinking and the development of women leaders.
Jessica Grounds doesn’t just help cultivate women leaders - she is a leader of the movement in her own right. I know that going forward we will elect more women, see more women CEO’s, and break down more barriers because leaders, like Jessica, have stepped up to share their experiences and insight with other women and encouraged them to reach higher.
I have relied on Jessica Grounds many times for strategic advice and always find her guidance to be clear-headed and actionable. She also has a special understanding of how to avoid the particular pitfalls that women can face.
Jessica Grounds is the go-to woman in Washington for women’s political empowerment. She has been working for years to train and lift up the next generation of women leaders and she has helped elect women candidates around the country and the world.
